Q U E S T I O N S F O R T H E P R O S:
With "Tasty" Travis Lee

[Interview conducted by Tony D. on February 25, 2001]
TD: What's your real name, and what gimmicks have/do you use?
TL: Well, let's just say that Travis Lee is my real name, but there's a
little more too it than that. As a GQ Centerfold, I team with "Love
Machine" Matt Longtime and we are managed by Angelo Stefano. We are
club hoppers and have been known to come out to "What is Love" by
Haddaway. Truth be told I'm only sharing that gimmick, because Matt
is actually the brains behind that one. Promoter Mike Krause decided
to have us team together using the gimmick. The "Love Machine" and
"Tasty" Travis Lee (GQ Centerfolds) are former ACW Tag-Team Champions.
When I team with Tony Denucci (and I assume this in NOT my tag-team
partner interviewing me! lol) we are known as FLEX APPEAL and are the
current Steel Domain Wrestling Tag-Team Champions.
TD: What circuits do you currently work in?
TL: The Primary promotions I work for Are All-Star Championship wrestling
out of Green Bay and Steel Domain Wrestling out of St. Paul MN. I
also work some spot shows for other promotions every now and again.
TD: What circuits have you worked in?
TL: You can see this list at my site, there's a lot of them and I don't
feel like copying and pasting.
TD: What titles have you held?
TL: The 2 tag-titles I've mentioned above. I was a Tag-team champion in
AAW. I was a cruiser weight champ in Badger State Pro-Wrestling and
Extreme Wrestling Federation. That's about it.
TD: When did you decide to get into wrestling?
TL: When I was given the opportunity and did well (for someone who was
very green anyway) in my first match.
TD: And how did you get started?
TL: My Cousin J.W. Thunder gave me my first match and after I felt how
awesome it was to make a crowd respond, I knew it was something that
I wanted to persue.
TD: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
TL: Angel Armoni
TD: What has been the greatest moment of your career?
TL: Difficult to say. My first match ranks up there as does the first
time I called a match. It's really difficult to say. Just
performing in front of people is a pleasure.
TD: Who are/were you trained by? What kind of athletic background do you
have before you got into wrestling?
TL: Angle Armoni was my primary trainer and Eddie Sharkie and Terry Fox
gave me further schooling. I took 4th in State in highschool
wrestling at 189 and was also a member of the 1996 All-Army
Wrestling Team. I played 4 years of football in highschool too.
TD: Who is your favorite wrestler to work with in the ring?
TL: Anyone who has as much or more experience than I do.
TD: Any major enemies? If so, who, and why?
TL: The GQ's had quite feud going with the Hammer Brothers for a while
before they split. Sometimes Red Lightning and I have to have it
out every once in a while. Politically, I have none that I am
aware of.
TD: In which promotion are you the most over?
TL: That's a toss up between ACW and SDW, but probably ACW, because I've
been there longer, so I'm more established.
TD: Do you ever consider working in the WWF, WCW or ECW if they are
interested in your talent?
TL: I certainly would.
TD: If you had to pick WWF, WCW or ECW, where would you go and why?
TL: I would go with the company that was the best for me and my
circumstances at the time.
TD: Do you have a computer? If so, what do you think of the reporters and
sheet writers on the internet?
TL: I do. Some of them are reputable, others just cut and paste without
giving any credit and that's not cool at all.
TD: Do you have a college degree or any other higher education?
TL: I should have my Associate's Degree after this semester.
TD: Any advice you'd give a wannabe wrestler?
TL: Go to a real wrestling camp and make sure you check out all of the
camps available to you, so you can make a well informed choice.
TD: Any final comments for the readers?
TL: Hope you'll visit my site and come to see some of my matches.
Thanks Tony! :-)
