Last Updated on July 7, 2001
A lot of the tapes in my collection were taped off of the radio or off of the Internet. NONE of the shows mentioned
on this page were recorded off the radio or off the Internet UNLESS NOTED! All of these tapes come from commercial
vendors or through OTR trades (or in some cases I checked them out of the Public Library and made copies. Shhhh!)
I haven't rated the sound quality, but I didn't get ones that sounded bad. Most of my shows sound very good. I tried
not to list any of the bad sounding ones. You can get in touch with me via e-mail with your list of shows, or if your
list is on the Internet, please provide me a link. We'll iron out the details of how many tapes to trade at a time
then. I have about 400 shows on my hard drive or in some cases on diskettes, but I'm not equipped to trade them because
I don't have a CD-ROM Burner. I expect to be able to trade that way soon. Real Audio and MPEG files aren't yet a substitute
for audio tape yet because of their lossy compression formats. I could also e-mail you a list of the shows that I taped
off of the radio or off of the Internet. The tapes off the radio have old time commercials taken out of them (and some of the
songs too) and replaced with NEW commercials. The tapes from the Internet don't sound bad if they're low generation copies,
but they probably shouldn't be traded, because as the tapes get farther and farther from the source, they will sound worse
and worse.
The tapes listed below are mostly of very good sound quality. I'll try to use TDK 60 or 90 Minute tapes for trading. I
could also trade using Sony Tapes. Let me know if you have a preference (or even if you prefer a different brand).
You can mix and match shows of the shows you want to trade. Let me know the tape (or CD) number and Show Description to
make sure you get what you want. I'll replace defective tapes or bad sounding tapes at my expense, because I want to keep
my trading partners happy. Now on with the list.

SECTION IV: TAPED OFF THE TV
When I bought my DSS in January 1998, I found a channel that played a one hour episodes of
"Yesterday USA" with Bill Bragg every day. This show was taken off on Feb. 1, 1998.
These are complete episodes and each show started with a song "Radio. Remember Radio, we'd sit and
close our eyes, and use our imagination..." then Bill would talk for a few minutes,
play a 30 minute show, talk a few more minutes, play a 15 minute show, and close the program.
I taped the shows with my VCR and transferred them to audio tape. Each tape starts with the 30 minute show
(so it wouldn't be broken up onto two sides), and proceeded until normal until the end. The Beginning of
the show (the song and Bill talking for a few minutes) starts on Side 2 in the middle of the tape. This leaves
the 30 minute show is intact, and you still get to hear Bill's comments.

Side 1 & 2: With Host Clifton Fadiman (of Information, Please fame) and the panel consists of Fred Allen, Jacques Barzun, and Dr. Alfred Goldsmith. I don't know if this was a radio show or not, but since it has Fred Allen and Clifton Fadiman both in it, I thought I'd include it in the list. It doesn't have its own tape number (and it's not in my database) because I don't know if it was a radio show or not.
Here We Go Again

This is a movie starring Jim and Marian Jordan as Fibber McGee and Molly, Harrold Perry as The Great Gildersleeve, Edgar Bergen, Charlie McCarthy, Mortimer Snerd and others from the show Fibber McGee and Molly.
