                                     With "Rugged" Rod Price
_________________________________________________________________

[Interview conducted by Tony D.]

TD: What's your real name, and what gimmicks have/do you use?

RP: Rod Price is my real name. My gimmicks were always related, like
"Rugged" Rod Price, "Hardway" Rod Price, The California Stud and
    "Mr. Insanity" Rod Price.

TD: What height/weight are you?

RP: I'm 6ft and weigh 275lb.

TD: What circuits do you currently wrestle in?

RP: I work most of my time for ECW and do some independent work, mostly
    in Texas and Louisiana (UWF).

TD: What titles have you held?

RP: Global Wrestling Federation North American Champion, GWF North American
Tag-Team Champion (with "Hollywood" John Tatum)

TD: When did you decide to become a wrestler? And how did you get started?

RP: Now let me tell you how my career went on: I played football in College
and went as a Pro-Player for the Los Angeles Raiders. After 1 season I
was playing for the Chargers for 2 years. I injured my knees so bad,
that football was over for me, so i did some TV comercials, were I
met Red Bastien. He had a wrestling school and invited me. I went!

TD: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

RP: The biggest influence in my career besides my trainer Red Bastien is
my wife Julia, since she really has understanding for my business and
    supports me 100%.

TD: What has been the greatest moment of your career?

RP: The greatest moment of my career is yet to come, and it will be at ECW.

TD: Who are/were you trained by? What kind of athletic
background do you have before you became a wrestler?

RP: I played football in College and went as a Pro-Player for the
Los Angeles Raiders. After 1 season I was playing for the Chargers
    for 2 years.

TD: Any major enemies? If so, who, and why?

RP: You ask me for enemies - I'm sure there are many, but really, who I
don't like is Chris Adams. Chris is a very unfair person, he is not
very liked by many wrestlers, for good reason! And he can't work, but
is a good jobber for WCW.

TD: Do you ever consider working in the WWF or WCW if they are
    interested in your talent?

RP: i would not work for WWF, don't like their ways! But I
would consider WCW later down the road maybe.

TD: If you had to pick, WWF, WCW or ECW? Where would you go? And why?
Who is your favorite wrestler to work with in the ring?

RP: I really love to work for ECW - This company is more than work,
it's a family. I like Paul a lot and the wrestlers also -
Dreamer is the one I respect the most and I love to work with him.

In ECW we have a lot of fun, too. Besides my wife would probably
divorce me, if I quit ECW (haha), she likes everybody there too,
and also she does not go alot, she really enjoys it.

TD: Do you have a computer? If so, what do you think of the
reporters and sheet writers on the internet?

RP: I don't have a computer as for now, we use one in the library.

TD: Do you have a college degree or any other higher education?
(Rod said previously that he played Football in college)

TD: Any advice you'd give a wannabee wrestler?

RP: My advice for younger talent is: Hang in there and do as many shows
as you can. Work out in the gym every day and live healthy
    (no drugs !!!!!)

TD: Any final comments for the readers?

RP: Wrestling is my life and my love. I have a partner to share this with,
so I call myself very lucky. I appreciate my fans very much, I answer
their mail as soon as possible. They will never know, how much their
support means to me and my family, but let me tell you, they are
    everything to us.
