[Interview conducted by Tony D. on September 11, 1999]

TD: What's your real name, and what gimmicks have/do you use?

NW: My name is Steve Greyeyes Islas, I have worked as The Navajo Kid,
Shawn Dakota, Ghostdancer, and now I am The Navajo Warrior

TD: What height/weight are you?

NW: I am 6'1" and weigh 257 lbs

TD: What circuits do you currently wrestle in?

NW: I currently wrestle for World Pro Wrestling, National Wrestling
Federation, American Wrestling Fedration, Pro Wrestlers Alliance,
World Wrestling Organization, American Wrestling Association &
    National Wrestling Conference

TD: What titles have you held?

NW: The AWF Heavyweight Title, NWF Tag Team Title with Chief Jules Strongbow,
Ken Patera's AWA Heavyweight Title, IWA Heavyweight Title

TD: When did you decide to become a wrestler?

NW: When I was about 10 years old I decided that this is what I wanted
to do & started training at 18

TD: And how did you get started?

NW: I was trained by Steve Gatorwolf

TD: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

NW: I have had many influences in this business, like The Honky Tonk Man
(he has taught me a lot about this business) as far as wrestling
style, I would have to say Jay Strongbow, & working a crowd Hulk Hogan

TD: What has been the greatest moment of your career?

NW: So Far I would say wrestling for the WWF at a Monday Night Raw at a
sold out building in my home town.

TD: Who are/were you trained by? What kind of athletic
background do you have before you became a wrestler?

NW: I was trained by Steve Gatorwolf, I was a wrestler & football player in
    high school.

TD: Who is your favorite wrestler to work with in the ring?

NW: My favorite person to work with in the ring is The Honky Tonk Man, This
guy can get so much heat. He also is very easy to work with, he does
not mind helping you get over.

TD: Any major enemies? If so, who, and why?

NW: I don't have any real enemies, there are a few assholes that do
nothing but put you down. I don't let them bother me, because
I am out working & they are sitting at home.

TD: Do you ever consider working in the WWF, WCW, or ECW if they
    are interested in your talent?

NW: I would love to work for one of the big 3, but I am happy where I'm at.

TD: If you had to pick, WWF, WCW or ECW? Where would you go? And why?

NW: If I had all 3 wanting me I would pick the WWF. I think they would
really try to give my character a push, with WCW I would probably
get lost in the shuffle & ECW, well I don't think my style of
    wrestling would fit in.

TD: Do you have a computer? If so, what do you think of the
reporters and sheet writers on the internet?

NW: I have a computer, & I think the sheet writers & reporters are doing
what they do best. Some are full of B.S. & wish they could be doing
the wrestling, but most are good writers.

TD: Do you have a college degree or any other higher education?

NW: No I started wrestling at 18.

TD: Any advice you'd give a wannabe wrestler?

NW: Don't give up

TD: Any final comments for the readers?

NW: Thanks for reading this interview & I hope to see you at the matches.
