[Interview conducted by Tony D. on November 12, 2000]

TD: What's your real name, and what gimmicks have/do you use?

MR: My real name is Matt Duffield. I'm a manager and I do a gimmick based
on that of an old-school singer named Morris Day (remember Purple Rain?).
I wear my black and white Stacy Adams, shiny jackets, and slip in a few
dance moves every now and then. I've used this gimmick my whole career.
I also do the strut every now and then.

TD: What height/weight are you?

MR: I'm currently 6'2" and 190 lbs. legit.

TD: What circuits do you currently work in?

MR: Global Pro Wrestling and a few other independents from time to time
    around the mid-south.

TD: What circuits have you wrestled in?

MR: Global Pro Wrestling, Central Wrestling Alliance in AR, etc.

TD: What titles have you held?

MR: None, I'm a manager.

TD: When did you decide to become a wrestler?

MR: I decided to get into the business in 1995 when I was flipping through
the channels one late Saturday night and saw WCW Worldwide. The match
that was on was Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater vs. a couple of jobbers
and I know this seems weird, but I remember seeing Slater do his swinging
neckbreaker and I thought to myself "Man, that was cool!" I've been
    hooked ever since.

TD: And how did you get started?

MR: I went to an ICPW (Inter-Continental Pro Wrestling) show on April 4,
1998 and met promoter Tim Ford, who recently passed away. Then, I went
on to meet Bill Ash and he tutored me on the business for about two
straight years. He was my wrestling tutor.

TD: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

MR: Treach Phillips Jr., Bill Ash, and Ric Flair.

TD: What has been the greatest moment of your career?

MR: When I promoted my own show and proved to my self that could do it
    successfully.

TD: Who are/were you trained by? What kind of athletic background do you
have before you became a wrestler?

MR: Tutored by Bill Ash and I played basketball before getting into
    wrestling.

TD: Who is your favorite wrestler to work with in the ring?

MR: Dexter Hardaway was excellent. Scott Storm is another one of my
    favorites.

TD: Any major enemies? If so, who, and why?

MR: no comment

TD: Do you ever consider working in the WWF, WCW or in ECW if they are
    interested in your talent?
MR: I'd have to see the details of the contract and do some serious
thinking about it before I signed the dotted line.

TD: If you had to pick, WWF, WCW or ECW? Where would you go? And why?

MR: Right now, I'd go to the WWF because of stability.

TD: Do you have a computer? If so, what do you think of the reporters and
    sheet writers on the internet?

MR: Yes, and I really don't have any real respect for many of the dirt
sheet writers. I will say that I respect Dave Meltzer and love the
    Observer though.

TD: Do you have a college degree or any other higher education?

MR: Not YET

TD: Any advice you'd give a wannabe wrestler?

MR: Find a GOOD wrestling promotion and get your foot in the door. Wait
until the time is right and the promotion is right. Don't rush into
    anything.

TD: Any final comments for the readers?

MR: Thank you for allowing me to do this interview and God bless you all!
