Central State Championship Wrestling is based out of Topeka, Kansas. They also have a wrestling school there. I don’t know how long they’ve been around.

They had a show on March 24, 2001 at The National Guard Armory at Pittsburg, Kansas. There were only 5 matches, but it was a solid show. I don’t know what titles they have, but I do know that The Platinum Kid is the first CSCW Cruiserweight Champion because he won the belt at the show on the 24th. I've been to 7 live shows in my life, and I've finally see a title change in person.

They had mostly up and coming guys on the show, according to the Promoter. I don’t if how often they used big name stars, but on April 3rd in Wichita Kansas they had a show at Rita’s Club. It started at 9 PM and it featured a Midget Match, and Doink The Clown and Mr. Wrestling III were both be on the card. I’ve seen both Doink and III in person twice, and they’re really good.

Smasher and Kryptonite were both excellent heels. Tiger Kid and Grenade were great faces, and there wasn’t a bad match on the card. Smasher had tall heat at the show, especially considering the small crowd that was there.

The Promoter made up the flyers, and the tickets were to be sold at Western Sizzlin’. The Promoter is from Topeka and there they have a restaurant called Western Sizzler. He put "Western Sizzler" on the flyer, and the people at Western Sizzlin’ got really mad and they refused to sell the tickets. I saw a flyer at Kitchen Pass and at Ron’s IGA, but I don’t where else the flyers were. I didn’t hear anything about the show on the radio either, but a friend of mine heard something about it on the radio on the day before the show. I listened for a few hours on Saturday Afternoon (the day of the show) and didn’t hear a thing.

I don’t know if or when CSCW will come back to town. The show they put on was really good and it’s too bad that more people didn’t show up. If they come back, hopefully the turnout will be a lot better.

Grenade wrestles in Oklahoma Pro Wrestling and he is part of a group called The Casualties of War. They have a website at Casualties of War. "Hott Property" Danny Dane was at the show, but he didn’t wrestle. He has wrestled in Bad Boys of Wrestling, which is based in Texas.
