[Interview conducted by Tony D. on May 25, 2001]
TD: What's your real name, and what gimmicks have/do you use?
BB: "The Whole Reffin Show" Brent Blades. The Whole Reffin show part was
not my idea.
TD: What height/weight are you?
BB: 5'11 155lbs
TD: What circuits do you currently work for?
BB: IWA Mid-South twice a week is the main one.
TD: What circuits have you worked in?
BB: IWA Mid-South obviously, and I have worked for Intense Wrestling Inc.
TD: When did you decide to become a ref?
BB: Always wanted to be involved in one way or another since I was a
small kid.
TD: And how did you get started?
BB: I was lucky enough to know Ian Rotten, who gave me a shot.
TD: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
BB: Ian Rotten, Dave Prazak
TD: What has been the greatest moment of your career?
BB: Wrestling in 1 match against Chris Hero, one of the best workers on
the Indies today.
TD: Who are/were you trained by? What kind of athletic background do
you have before you became a wrestler?
BB: Ian Rotten, I played all sports but in High School I played baseball.
When I was 15 in Little League my all-star team went to the Little
League World Series, we finished second. Damn Dunedin, Fla.
TD: Who is your favorite wrestler to ref?
BB: I have so many but Paul E. Smooth/Chuckie Smooth is always an
adventure. I always enjoyed American Kickboxer's too.
TD: Any major enemies? If so, who, and why?
BB: Not that I can think of
TD: Do you ever consider working in the WWF, WCW or in ECW if they are
interested in your talent?
BB: Well, seeing is how there is no WCW and ECW, but yeah obviously
since that is what everyone wants to do when they break in.
TD: If you had to pick, WWF, WCW or ECW? Where would you go? And why?
BB: WWF, cause the others do not exist right now.
TD: Do you have a computer? If so, what do you think of the reporters and
sheet writers on the internet?
BB: I have a computer and don't see nothing wrong with it as long as they
are somewhat credible and the news is true. It's here to stay though.
TD: Do you have a college degree or any other higher education?
BB: Not at this time but gonna work on it.
TD: Any advice you'd give a wannabe wrestler/manager/ref?
BB: Get trained and remember you'll never know too much. If you're in the
wrestling business for 20 years you'll never know everything.
TD: Any final comments for the readers?
BB: Indies are where the best wrestling is, find your local one and
support it!!!!
